Steamed Tofu with Minced Shrimp & Fish

  • 100 g prawn
  • 100 g fish paste
  • 1 egg tu
  • 1/2 carrot
  • 3 coriander
  • salt
  • water
  • cornflour
  • 1 tsp cornflour
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp shaoxing wine
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  1. Mince the prawn and mash it thoroughly and combine with the fish paste

  2. Add the carrots, coriander and marinade for at least an hour or the day before

  3. Cut the egg tofu into 2-3 cm thick pieces

  4. Place the tofu in salt water for 10 minutes

  5. Remove and wipe dry before cooking (This helps to reduce less water during cooking or steaming

  6. ) Carefully place the tofu on a plate and using a paper tower to wipe off excess water (if any)

  7. Lightly sprinkle some cornflour on the surface of the tofu

  8. Spoon the paste mixture and arrange them on the tofu

  9. Use a large cloth to wrap the cover of the steamer

  10. Steam the tofu in the steamer over high heat for approximately 10 minutes

  11. Remove and drizzle with the seasonings

  12. Serve hot
