  • 1 cup besan )
  • 5 teaspoon ajwain )
  • 5 teaspoon salt )

  • 1 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  1. Preparation Add besan, ajwain, turmeric and salt to a mixing bowl

  2. Mix everything well

  3. Add ginger, tomatoes, onions, coriander leaves and chilies

  4. Pour enough water and make a batter of thick but pourable consistency

  5. If needed add more water as needed

  6. How to make besan chilla Heat a pan and grease it lightly with few drops of oil

  7. Allow it to turn hot and reduce the flame to medium

  8. Mix the batter well from the bottom

  9. Take a ladle of batter and pour it in the center

  10. Quickly spread it to a round cheela

  11. Drizzle some oil around the edges and the center

  12. Allow to cook until the edges leave the pan

  13. Flip it to the other side

  14. Press down the edges with a spatula

  15. Fry until it is cooked completely and gets golden spots

  16. Remove to a serving plate

  17. To make the next one ensure the pan is hot enough and not very hot otherwise they will brown too quickly

  18. Serve besan cheela with some tea or chutney
